12.03.17 fashion new orleans

I’m wearing:
White and Warren cashmere top. Citizens of Humanity pants. Mansur Gavriel bag. Trdmrk shoes.

Playing back memories of New Orleans in my mind. The constant heat, the heavy food, the feeling of the old south still lingering in the air. I had prepared my trip by reading Joan Didion’s Notes on the South, and found her words and experience to be more true than I had expected. Not to mention, a few days prior, there had been riots about the removal of the confederate statues, which didn’t help that idea. But the city is such a beautiful place, with remnants of the old south laying everywhere, and gorgeous estates lined one after the other, making us contemplate what it would be like to pick up everything and live there forever, reading on our wraparound porches with a glass of fresh lemonade. Might have just suited us for a little while.
