It’s June, which means I’m in a full-on summer mood. Crop tops, long messy hair, sandals, muted tones, and perma-squinty-eyes. I guess I never fully acknowledged the whole long hair thing. I cut my hair last year in a rash decision to make a change. And trust me, I loved it. For a long time. And it was exactly what I needed at that moment – a cool girl hair cut that was edgy and different. But I’m one of those people that needs a pretty drastic change every few months, and everything is very dependent on my mood. And so, post cool-girl mood, I’ve moved into a more indie, natural, effortless vibe. The minimal scandi-girl. It’s come with my love of muted colors (from blush pink to pearl grey to almond green), natural materials (from linen to wicker to wood), and reducing my wardrobe to the bare essentials. A new me (catch all the new vibes via pinterest). And hence the new hair. So thanks to my favorite person ever over at Spoke & Weal, Dell Miller, I was transformed. And yes, I thought long and hard about extensions. It’s a lot more upkeep than I thought, and it took my awhile to get used to my new look, but I feel more me now than I ever have. I’ve always known that change is good. And if it makes you feel more like yourself, I’m 1000% for it. So I guess what I’m saying is, don’t be afraid to try something new. You might end up surprising yourself.
